[Ever wonder how PSO would work out if it were in real life? Why monsters drop items and why they are different? How come forces can't use Swords? I'll try to explain in an imaginative way.]
Simply, in PSO photon is matter. Photon isn't just the weapons one holds but is the essence of any and all life. When a monster is slain, it's energy is violently released and if it is strong enough it creates a small box of Photon. The photon could be used from anything to healing wounds to transforming into usable weapons. Now, HU/RA/FO are sects of photon users. A FO cannot use a Sword because they are not trained in that use of Photon and are physically incapable of activating the photon box's weapon. Also, some weapons require more experience to come in from the user (I.E. ATP/ATA/MST requirements).
When Photon is activated it goes from a boxed form to a physical, usable form. Such as in, a saber. Even the hilt is created from Photon for it is the life of everything around. On the case of Armor, forces cannot use certain armors because it would interfer with their casting abilities. And all fighters must go unhindered, therefore if someone is not strong enough to stay 100% strong and wear an armor (Lvl Requirements on armor) then they will not wear the armor.
Also, some monsters contain higher photon levels then others. This explains why there is a drop of "rare" items. The photon condenses into such a pure form it becomes something not usually seen. Sealed weapons as well, the seal must hit many different monsters photon energies to be weakened and removable.
Lastly, death. When people die, they die differently. Their photon is released into a glowing sphere and can only be reassimilated with their body with the use of a special item called a Moon Atomizer or the use of a realignment spell.
=================
The world is divided into four shadows.
1) Normal mode or Ragol Shadow One. (RS1)
2) Hard mode or Ragol Shadow Two. (RS2)
3) Very Hard mode or Ragol Shadow Three. (RS3)
4) Ultimate mode [ Or, the real Ragol. ] is known as Ragol Shadow X. (RSX)
Basically the modes before RSX are just training grounds created in a VR centre until the user is ready for the true challenges Ragol has to offer.
That's all I got so far but make sure you ask me about other things and I'll make sure I come up with some crazy story involving that as well. Also, don't hesitate to point out problems or conflicts in how I explained the Real PSO.
